Campbell Connection

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Once again, Celebrate Campbell was a huge success as the community, Chamber members and city officials dressed in their finest to honor the 2015 Business-of-the-Year, Chiropractic Wellness Center, and our 2015 Citizen-of-the-Year, Past President Janie Harris Kelly of CSR Real Estate Services. Also recognized were our Ambassador of the Year, Tina Fisher of ReachLocal, Volunteer of the Year, Mike Katz of Cool Kat Appliance Repair and numerous other amazing people who dedicate their time and talents to local worthy organizations within the community. Thank you to Janie, committee chair, committee members, chamber staff and sponsors for making this event one to remember. It was my distinct pleasure to be a part of Celebrate Campbell again this year and to help recognize each of those individuals who make Campbell a great place to live, work and play.

Our next big event is, of course, Boogie on the Avenue. Held on Saturday & Sunday, May 21st & 22nd, this is one of Campbell's feature festivals and one of the Chamber's most important fundraisers. We are accepting food and business row applications and will soon be asking for volunteers. We need all hands on deck to continue to make Boogie one of the Bay Area's best events!

Please be sure to sign up for our ABC Certification Training on April 17th if you're interested in volunteering to serve beer and wine at Boogie or Oktoberfest.

Please note that the April 14th BIZ Expo and Mixer at the Winchester Mystery House has been cancelled.

Dale Yoshihara
2016 Board President, Campbell Chamber of Commerce

Their next concert is June 3rd at the First United Methodist Church.

Chamber Board President Dale Yoshihara of Kyoto Palace Japanese Steakhouse presented new members with their plaques.

CustomerPulse360

Seema Varma recently launched CustomerPulse360, an instant customer feedback solution she designed for brick & mortar establishments. Using Android tablets with a customized 'survey', her clients receive a 70 to 80% response rate! Feedback allows companies to better understand and address their customer's needs as well as attract new clientele.

Diversified Capital Funding

Rita Anderson of Diversified Capital Funding can help you obtain the best home loan to fit your needs, whether you're buying, refinancing or need to borrow against your equity. Diversified Capital offers the 'best mortgage tools available' on the Internet and they now have an office in Campbell...right next to Hooters!

Uncle John's Pancake House

Matt Wesley of Uncle John's Pancake House takes pride in feeding people. In addition to offering delicious food, they want their customers to feel at home. Located in the Merrill Garden's complex on Winchester, Uncle John's Pancake House is open from 7am to 2pm.

They will also host the Chamber's May Power Networking Lunch.

Maki Swim School

In the former water babies location on Apricot at Bascom, Maki Swim School focuses on water safety as a priority when teaching students to swim. They offer lessons for all ages and are happy to accommodate sibling or family lessons. They also offer open swim for a $5 drop in fee so come take a dip in their lovely pool!

College Nannies+Tutors of Los Gatos

Our luncheon sponsor was College Nannies+Tutors of Los Gatos

Owner Vanessa Wong and Caitlin Remmel offered more in-depth detail about the company's services during their brief presentation.

Police Chief David Carmichael

Our featured speaker, Chief David Carmichael shared with luncheon attendees how the Campbell Police Department works diligently to maintain Campbell's small town, caring community. A full service organization, they want residents to call them for any issues, big or small. The department works to reconnect with the community through programs such as National Night Out, Cops Love Lemonade and Coffee With A Cop.

Thanks to the diligence and hard work of Campbell's officers, our burglary rate has dropped 30% since 2013 and the Campbell PD has the most arrests and reports of any agency in the county.

Power Networking Lunch

Held on the last Tuesday of each month, this 60 minute Power Networking Lunch is packed full of great food and equally amazing networking opportunities.

Our March Power Networking Lunch was held at Tapsilog Bistro. Tapsilog serves up traditional Filipino silog dishes as well as other delicious entrees with a California twist!

The next Power Networking Lunch will be held on Tuesday, April 26th from 12 to 1pm at
