A Plan Hillsborough holiday tradition
For more than two decades, our staff has shared seasonal spirit through gift and song with the wonderful residents at Whispering Oaks. "It's a rewarding experience to be able to make a difference in people's lives at this special time of the year," said Greg Colangelo, who coordinates this long-standing tradition. We come bearing gifts fulfilling resident wish lists who may not otherwise receive anything. Often joined by members of our families, we roam the halls to spread holiday cheer. The residents are touched as they join us in songs of the season and even some spontaneous dancing! "This is one of my favorite things we do each year!" said Melissa Zornitta, Executive Director. Feliz Navidad!

Thank you, Commissioner Benson!
We said farewell to Planning Commissioner Stephen Benson, AICP, at the Planning Commisssion's November 14 meeting. The first Millennial to ever serve on the Planning Commission, Mr. Benson expressed great appreciation for his time spent serving with his fellow Commissioners since 2013. Upon receiving "the largest plaque I've ever received" for exemplary service he said, "This is one of those defining points in your life where you really feel like you've done something good." We wish him continued success in his new role with the Florida Department of Transportation.
