The National Endowment for the Humanities and the State of Kansas help fund Kansas Humanities Council grants and programs. Please thank your legislators and members of Congress for their support. KHC also relies on donations from people like you.  Please thank the Friends of the Humanities who support KHC.
Ho Ho Humanities

Thank you to all the project directors, program participants, speakers, discussion leaders, board members, and Friends of the Humanities who made 2012 -- and KHC's 40th anniversary -- a merry year for the Humanities in Kansas. 2012 may be coming to a close, but there are big things on the horizon for KHC in 2013:

  • As the new home of the Poet Laureate of Kansas program, KHC will advance the reach and impact of poetry in Kansas in 2013. Click here for more information.
  • The Way We Worked Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition tour continues with winter book discussions on Then We Came to the End. Click here for more details.
  • Kansas Town Hall civic engagement projects in partnership with the Eisenhower Presidential Library kick off with a series on hunger in Hays. Click here to learn more.
  • KHC's 5-Minute Films are a source of inspiration for grant projects and humanities events and provide a glimpse into the work of KHC and our partners across the state. Click here to watch.
And there's much more to come. Visit KHC's website and follow KHC on Facebook and Twitter for the latest information about humanities programs and events.
