Make a Donation
You're invited to our Grand Opening
On  Thursday, December 18th, we'll be celebrating the ribbon-cutting of our neVillage Pantry and Mission Central Administrative Offices. You're invited to join us for this Grand Opening event, as we introduce our facilities to the many donors and community supporters who helped make it possible.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. at 740 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. We hope you'll join us to share in this exciting milestone for Mission Central.
Volunteer in the new year
volunteer_signup_sheet.jpgLooking for new experiences in 2015? Volunteers have the opportunity to make friends, learn new skills, and serve their neighbors in a fun environment. Make a new year's resolution to volunteer in 2015!

Our volunteer opportunities include:

Coat of Many Colors: Volunteers help sort and price donations, keep the store organized and stocked, and help with cashiering.

Mobile Food Pantry: Help share groceries with more than 450 families during this once-a-month event.

Village Library: Tutors spend one hour a week helping students with their homework and building their reading and math skills.

Village Pantry: There are many volunteer opportunities at the Village Pantry including Drivers, Sorters, Receptionists, Lobby Hosts, Intake Assistants, Pantry Assistants, and the ShineTime Team.

Coat of Many Colors welcomes new Assistant Manager
We are pleased to announce the hiring of Karen Knox, Assistant Manager of the Mission Central Coat of Many Colors. Karen joined the staff on December 1st and comes to us with a wealth of customer service and retail experience. Karen has served as an administrative/executive assistant in large health care systems in the area where coordination, planning and working with a team of people was a key requirement for the positions she held. Karen's retail experience has been in floral and pastry management. In addition, she is a wedding consultant who has planned more than 300 weddings. Karen's educational background is in culinary arts, pre-nursing at Tarrant County College and general studies at the University of Texas-Arlington. Please stop by the store and welcome Karen to the staff team!
