Update: Campaign for Growth
|
In November, we announced our Campaign for Growth, a fundraising effort to allow Mission Central to grow into a new facility. Thanks to your generosity, we will soon begin Phase 1 of the project, which includes securing the new space and finalizing construction details.
We still have a long way to go, though. In addition to construction costs, we need to furnish the new location, add new pantry equipment and technology, purchase a cargo vehicle, and hire a staff person to manage the Village Food Pantry. Your gifts will help us as we continue to empower people in need in our community. |

Your grocery shopping raises money for Mission Central
|
Do you shop at Kroger, Tom Thumb, or Albertson's? If so, be sure to link your grocery cards to Mission Central. When you do this, a percentage of all your purchases are returned to Mission Central for use in our services to your neighbors. Last year, Mission Central earned $1,424 through your grocery purchases. Your participation makes a difference!
Visit our website to learn how to link your card to Mission Central. If you have done this previously, please double-check your card as some of the programs have changed a bit in the past few years. |

Birthday party benefits Mission Central
|
When Sophia was planning her recent birthday party, she realized that she had plenty of toys and clothes, while many of her neighbors didn't even have food on their table. That's why she asked her friends to forego regular gifts and bring food donations for Mission Central instead. Her friends came through, and she brought more than 50 pounds of food to Mission Central after the party.
We are proud to know that our young neighbors are willing to share with those in our community. Thanks to Sophia, and so many like her, we are able to serve more than 450 families each month. |
