Mission Central launches Campaign for Growth
Since November 1, Mission Central's Village Food Pantry has seen record-breaking days in regards to the number of families served. On our busiest days, we are now seeing 50-80 families. This is truly a challenge when our lobby area only seats 12 people!

In the past  year, we have been making plans to move into a new space that will allow us to expand our pantry and guest intake areas, provide offices for staff, and create an education room so we can host community classes. With our recent growth, we've decided we need to accelerate those expansion plans and are asking for your help.

We need to raise $250,000 to accomplish our growth goals for 2014. These goals include moving into a new space, furnishing that space with additional equipment including coolers and freezers, purchasing a cargo truck that will allow us to provide more fresh food for our guests, and hiring a Food Pantry Manager to relieve the volunteers who manage the day-to-day tasks of the Village Food Pantry.

As you consider your giving this holiday season, please remember Mission Central.  More information about our needs may be found on our website, and if you have any questions, please contact us at 817-595-0011.
CUNA Mutual supports Mission Central
Mission Central was pleased to host CUNA Mutual Foundation Executive Director Steve Goldberg earlier this month.  Mr. Goldberg, along with several local CUNA Mutual employees, toured the Village Food Pantry and Village Library. As a part of their visit, they presented Mission Central with a $10,000 check, representing their 2014 annual gift to Mission Central.

We appreciate the support we receive from CUNA Mutual! In addition to their cash donations, employees host regular food drives for our Village Food Pantry, and are always represented as volunteers at the Mobile Food Pantry.
Director of Family Services shares information at Suicide Prevention Fair
Melody Wilson, our Director of Family Services, staffed a booth for Mission Central this month at Tarrant County College's Suicide Prevention Fair.

Ms. Wilson shared information with students about the services we offer at Mission Central including our Village Food Pantry, Mobile Food Pantry, and Family Opportunities Program.  We wanted students to know that there are organizations like Mission Central who can help when you are going through tough times.
