    LEAVENWORTH--In August I accompanied my Mom  on a fantastic trip to Leavenworth to see "Sound of Music" performed outdoors among the stars and the crickets!  One of the actors told us there had been requests to 'turn down the cricket noise" as it was disturbing the play.  We also toured the Cider Mill south of Cashmere.  It was a lovely time. 

 THE BOOK--Mom and I also found a book by Agathe Von Trapp titled "Memories Before and After the Sound of Music", written in 2004, and a perfectly timed book for our adventure.  Mom has read it and I have it next on my shelf.  What a treat!

    I am beginning to realize how much I like stories that have moral and/or ethical dilemmas.  This month I finished "The Light Between Oceans" by M. L. Stedman. I hope she writes more!  This is a gripping story of choices we make and consequences that follow.  We have one copy.  Don't wait!
