For month of May - Clove Water
Recipe to strengthen your immune system
From a class taught by the Siri Singh Sahib on May 1, 1995 from Dr. Sat Siri Kaur's notes: Use during month of MAY ONLY. Take a ceramic soup bowl and put in it handful of cloves and water, soak overnight. First thing in the morning, when you brush your teeth, take 3-4 spoonfuls of this clove water, (not more than 5 spoonfuls - don't overdo it). This will save you from lot of virus diseases. The month of May breeds viruses. Your ears, nose, throat will be alright (if you use this remedy). Symptoms will almost not appear. If you do it every year, you will never fall apart.

Yogi Bhajan - Three Agree By Hari Jiwan Singh
While we were eating, the Master continued what he was saying, "The way to do what Guru Ram Das wants is simple: hang out with Guru's Sangat. No matter how bad you think you are, just keep hanging out with Guru's Sangat. And,... where do you find Guru's Sangat?" He loved asking questions like this. "Those who do Sadhana," I quickly answered. "No," he said with a cute smug tone. Someone else in our group answered, "Guru's Sangat can be found in your heart." "That's nice, but it's not the correct answer." he said. Now, he was going to give us his answer: "Guru's Sangat is found in the Gurdwara. Relate to the Gurdwara. Serve the Gurdwara. Mix with the people who join you in the Gurdwara. See what happens to your life. It's beyond your belief. And that's the blessing; you are propelled beyond your wildest dreams." Read entire article |

Evolutionary Astrology - Playing in the Field of Self-Mastery
By Himat Kaur
"Meditative mind is a mental capacity to catch the thought at the level of the intellect and to compute the consequences of the sequences which are being triggered by that thought. It allows the will to assess the effect before the thought becomes the desire." (Yogi Bhajan, Dec 14, 1977)
The application of high Aquarian consciousness allows us clear sight and purposeful choice, of which energies we allow to take the reins of our attention and focus. Any thought, emotion or behavior has the potential to become a wild horse, tearing off in its particular direction like a hijacked carriage, with us as the helpless passengers flying around as the carriage hits bumps and potholes along the way. High Aquarian mind is like an evolved, experienced horseman and driver, harnessing and directing the innate momentum contained in our minds and emotions. Read Entire Article |

"By construction, the fulfillment of a woman is motherhood; and motherhood does not mean that she gets pregnant and delivers a baby. If you understand her total behavior, you will understand her motherhood. Her motherhood is service, her motherhood is sacrifice, her motherhood is relationship. When she knows motherhood, she is fulfilled." Yogi Bhajan

The Yoga of Aging and Chronic Illness
Transformating a Curse into a Million Rays of Light
by Jivan Joti Kaur Khalsa, PhD
One thing I love and appreciate about our lifestyle is that we can use ourselves as laboratories. Over the years, the Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan taught us a multitude of yoga kriyas, pranayam techniques and meditations for every imaginable purpose - vitality, anti-depression, sexual potency, pregnancy, habitual behaviors, effective communication, brain balancing - the list is limitless. "Hi, I think I have a virus. Can you help?"
by Guruka Singh Khalsa
Yes, I get calls like this all the time. Even after I have written repeatedly about how important it is not to open suspicious email attachments or click on links in email messages that are not completely trusted! Anti-malware tools are there to protect us from ourselves, but the fact is, there's no perfect single tool. My advice is to only have a single real time anti-malware program running, but to also have some other tools on hand that do not run all the time, but can be brought into play when needed. Food for Health
Quinoa Salad
This protein-rich quinoa salad is simple to make and is incredibly delicious and addicting.
2 tablespoons organic olive oil, divided 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion, from one small onion 1 cup organic quinoa 1-2/3 cups low sodium organic vegetable broth 1 teaspoon Himalayan crystal salt 1 cup organic tomatoes (chopped) 1-1/4 cups fresh cut cooked corn (organic), from 2 cobs 2 scallions, white and green parts, finely sliced 1 small jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro 2 tablespoons organic lime juice 1 ripe organic avocado, cut into chunks In a medium pan heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium- low heat. Add onions and cook, stirring frequently, until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add quinoa to onions and continue cooking, stirring constantly, for 3-4 minutes. Add vegetable broth and stir in 1/2 teaspoon salt. Turn heat up to high and bring to a boil. Cover pan tightly with lid, turn heat down to low and simmer for 17-20 minutes, until liquid is absorbed and quinoa is cooked. Transfer cooked quinoa to mixing bowl and chill in refrigerator. When quinoa is cool, add remaining tablespoon olive oil, tomatoes, corn, scallions, jalapeno, cilantro, remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and lime juice. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Right before serving, scatter avocado chunks over top. |
