This month we are proud to announce that we are new grandparents! And in having a new baby in the family, we noticed a lot of similarities between babies and businesses. So for fun, we highlight some of these points this month.
Happy Halloween to all our clients, customers and friends!

Babies are Like Businesses
A new baby in the family brings to light the fact that babies are a lot like a business. No, we're not up all hours of the night or crying over our work. But there are many similarities that we can keep in mind to nurture and grow our business.
Why Babies are Like a Business
- They need a lot of TLC. Just like babies, our businesses need lots of care. We need to invest lots of love and time not only working "at" our business, but also "in" our business, building systems and setting up structures.
- They need a plan for the future. We need to plan for future education to keep up with software and continuous growth. We also need to plan goals for our business, write them down, and review them regularly.
- They grow in milestones. Businesses grow in milestones, just like babies. There are lots of "firsts". First big contract, first customers, first year in business. There may be periods of rapid growth and periods of adjustment.
- They need an investment of time, love and money. Businesses need lots of attention and should not be ignored if you expect them to grow and prosper. Proper planning, management and delegation are key. Invest in office items that will help make you more efficient.
- They need lots of support and teamwork. Ever hear the saying, "It takes a village to raise a baby"? It's the same with business ... it requires a lot of teamwork and cooperation to build a strong business.
