Greetings!
I am so excited to be chatting with you again. I hope you are well. It has been a nasty cold and flu season this year. You must stay healthy; there are exciting things happening over the next few months. I don't want you to miss any of them! Of course, that is not the only reason to stay healthy, staying healthy is just easier in the long run. Plus, if you are sick you won't come in and I won't get to see you to chat.
Kat has been unpacking new fabric on a daily basis. What a great array of colorful bolts and innovative designs. I'm telling you: the fabric designers are really trying to tantalize our creative side. Come in and let me show you some of my favorites. You need to come by anyway and see how we've rearranged things. Just want to keep you on your toes! Kathleen has the store all staightenned out for you.
Sudi Laura posted a picture on Facebook of Robert Kaufman's latest and greatest...Architextures. That is just a tiny sampling of the new fabric.
Karen is busily updating the website and the new classes will be available for your perusal March 1st! The April, May and June calendars are chock full of classes for you. Call your friends and take a class together. Friends taking classes together can be quite entertaining for the student, the teacher and us! We just love hearing laughter coming from the classroom.
Lucille Amos is our guest teacher this month. Learn the precise technique of foundation piecing while making "Indian Summer" a beginner level Judy Neimeyer design taught by our certified instructor, Lucille. This class is the perfect introduction to this technique, and would be beneficial to take before the more challenging "Dancing Batiks" in June. We will make kits for this class, to make your fabric choices stress-free!
We put together some great kits to help get your creative juices flowing. There are two novelty wall hangings, Jump, Jump, Jungle and Dance, Dance, Dinosaur. There are also kits available for the pattern by Jaybird Quilts Northern Lights. The quilt is quite striking when finished.
Did you notice the Special Event announcement to the left. This is for all machine embroiderers and machine embroidery "wanna-bees"! Some embroidery designs can be on the pricey side: we have decided to offer you a break. Check out the bargains next Tuesday evening, 2/26/2013 from 5PM to 9PM.
Software Sampler looks like a lot of fun this month. Stephanie has a project you will love. You can watch, learn, and then go home to create your own applique.
End of Month End of Bolt is this weekend, Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd.
This is not the last time you'll hear from me this month. We are sending out an email on February 28th. I can't say much more about it right now. It is an exciting secret. I think you will be pleasantly surprised! Besides I know you'll love hearing from me twice in a month! (NO... I am not pregnant!) You will just have to wait and read the email on the 28th.
Happy sewing,
