Dear Friends: 
Proposed Budget Spells Disaster for the Refuge System!

Vote postponed until Tuesday the 30th.

If you have not contacted your US Representative yet asking them to defeat the proposed budget, you still have time.  The vote has been delayed until Tuesday August 30th. 

The House Interior Appropriations Subcommittee has already approved the bill.  The full House Appropriations Committee will vote on Tuesday, August 30th.

 

The passage of the Appropriations bill with these Draconian cuts would be a serious blow to the viability of the Refuge system we all hold dear.  Please take a moment to find out if your Representative is on the committee, and if he/she is, urge a NO vote.  To find out who your US Representative is and how to contact him/her, click HERE.  To see a list of Committee members, click HERE.  After e-mailing, please follow up with a quick phone call to your Representative's office by calling the Capitol Switchboard at: 202-224 -3121.
