We Need You!
Volunteers are needed to assist the Friends and the US Fish & Wildlife Service with the following project:
******************************
Saturday, April 27, 2013:  The Friends and the Service are co-sponsoring a Spring Clean-up of the Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive on the Savannah NWR.  The fence at the entrance to the drive is in need of repair, and is over-run by shrubbery.

We plan to cut back a significant amount of the shrubs, power wash the brick pillars, and replace many of the wooden split-rails that are broken or missing.  If we have enough time and volunteers, we will pick up trash along the drive and do some trimming as well.

This project will require mild-to-moderate exertion.  Everyone should bring work clothes and shoes, gloves, sun and insect protection.

The project begins at 10 AM, and we plan to be done by 2 PM.  If you can only help for a portion of the time, that's fine.

The Friends will provide drinks and lunch, the Service will provide the tools and the supervision. Weather permitting we will have a fun activity after the work is done.

If you are interested in volunteering please register on our website , e-mail webmaster@coastalrefuges.org or call 843-784-2468 during business hours.
