We Need You!

Volunteers are needed to assist the Friends and the US Fish & Wildlife Service in some upcoming events.
******************************
MARCH 9, 2013:  The Friends and the Service are co-sponsoring (along with the Savannah Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources) a Natural Resources Discovery Day at Savannah NWR Visitor Center.  Folks are need to help at a number of activity stations, no special skills required.

MARCH 24, 2013:  We need one or two volunteers to be foreman-for-a-day as we construct a bird observation and photography blind on the Cistern Trail at Savannah NWR.  The Georgia Nature Photographers' Association and local photo clubs will provide the labor.  The Friends group has donated $1000 toward the needed materials, and we need someone to provide direction and oversight of the construction.

If you are interested in volunteering for either of these events, please e-mail webmaster@coastalrefuges.org or call 843-784-2468 during business hours.
