FOFA's THIRD CONTEST for YOUNG FOLK ARTISTS

 

We are honored to announce our stellar international panel of jurors for the third competition for young Oaxacan Folk Artists in August, 2013.

Adrian Gomez  

Adrián Gómez (Oaxaca)

Internationally recognized weaver; studied in Teotitlan del Valle, Mexico City, and Bellas Artes La Universidad Autónoma Benito Juárez de Oaxaca (design, engraving); continues to study graphic design and photography

 

 

 

Amy Mulhill  

Amy Mulvihill (New York)

Member of FOFA's Board of Directors, champion of Oaxaca's artesanos since the early 1950s, having formed very strong connections with pueblo artisans during six summers in Oaxaca in a program for teenage girls.


 

 

Cecilio Sánchez (Yahuiche, Oaxaca)

Painter; exhibited at Museum of Modern Art, Museo Carrillo Gil; trained in Bellas Artes de la Universidad Autónoma Benito Juárez de Oaxaca, El Taller de Artes Plásticas Rufino Tamayo, diploma in Artes Visuales from Universidad de Guadalajara
