Universal Health Coverage (UHC) can have a positive effect upon the health of women and girls. Health leaders, managers, and those who govern should take this into consideration when strengthening their health systems.

In Ethiopia, gender equality is an important goal, and all development sectors--from agriculture to education to health--require gender mainstreaming to move development activities forward.
