Liberia Launches Accredited Medicine Store Program
 Adapted to suit Liberia's emerging country context, the newly launched Accredited Medicine Store (AMS) program will increase the quality of pharmaceutical services in more populated urban areas, and lead to improved access to essential medicines, basic pharmaceutical services, and health care referrals in the more remote areas of the country.

Joint Trainings Prepare Afghan Pharmacy Students for Future Success
 Access to quality medicines and appropriate use of those medicines are critical to good patient care and a functioning health system. To ensure that public sector pharmacists in Afghanistan can better manage their stores and to promote improved prescribing and medicine use, Strengthening Pharmaceutical Systems (SPS) Afghanistan conducts Managing Drug Supply and Rational Medicine Use trainings, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Afghan educational institutions.

In the Nyangezi health zone where traditional healers have discouraged TB patients seeking medical attention, the DRC-IHP team uses behavior change communication strategies to encourage people who are coughing to visit the health facility.
