Meet the latest Lake Chelan Rotarian Adding to our growing membership was the induction last Tuesday of Glenn Kerns, a retired detective from the Seattle Police Department. He served the citizens of Seattle as a police officer for most of his career and was assigned to represent the department on the Joint Terrorism Task Force, a component of the Seattle based Federal Bureau of Investigation. Now that Glenn has retired, he is very interested in continuing to serve others in his new community. Glenn has the energy and enthusiasm to be an active/involved member of our club. Glenn is married to Christy, who is working at Lake Chelan Community Hospital Foundation. Now Tom Anglin will have someone to talk to!
Glenn is receiving his pin from sponsor and brother-in-law Larry Bowers.
Membership Chair Mary Watson did the inducting.

New Directory is in development stage!
Although we are no longer a part of the Chelan County-Douglas County Rotary area, they have graciously continued our participation in the Area Directory, as most of our Rotary contacts remain with our old group of clubs. The editor John McDarment, at Wenatchee Downtown, is determined this year to have it finished and distributed by July 1 (of course in 2016). Last Tuesday a copy of our listing was distributed for changes and updates. Even if you were not present, please look at our 2015-2016 edition and if you have any changes please send them to your Lake Views editor at [email protected].

This year's 2016 Rotary International Convention will be held in Seoul Korea at the end of May. This year Club Director Tiffany Gering and Interact Advisor Brisa Romero will be attending the convention as our representatives together with five members of the Chelan High School Interact Club.
The Interactors are Scott Abel, Michael Hurling, Lucas Gueller,
Madelyn Peebles and
Emily Christenson.
Our CHS students will enjoy a fascinating look not only at the Korean culture but also gain insight into the cultures of the more than 50 counties that will be present at the convention.
We are sad to see John Anderson moving to San Diego and hope he will return soon.
