Interact Club has a month of showing ourselves to the community ahead of us, starting with our President and Vice-President, Emma and Mary, going to the Cashmere Rotary to talk about our club on the 10th of September.  The club's first meeting will be on September 17th due to delays caused by our presentation to Cashmere Rotary.  Next, Interact will be giving a presentation during the Lake Chelan Rotary meeting in Chelan.  To see us at our final event of the month, come to the concessions stand at Sergeant Field for the Chelan High School football game on September 26th.

Our inbound exchange student Jannik Tischer has been joining us each Tuesday.  Hopefully you have met and talked with him.  At the pace he is going he will speak better English than any of us by the time he completes his year.  Did you know he is turning out for JV Chelan Goats football?  The great photo below was taken at the Youth Exchange retreat last week.

A Rotary Message

Potpourri from your Editor

All of you who were at the meeting this past Tuesday received your copy of the new insert for the Directory of Rotary members in Area 6, which includes photos and contact information of all the Rotary members in clubs located in Chelan and Douglas Counties.  I know that this is a welcome arrival as it has been a couple of years since it has been updated.  This is a huge project and a real big thank you goes to John McDarment of the Wenatchee Downtown Rotary Club and the owner of Ridgeline Graphics who publishes the Directory.  Kind of like herding cats John?

Have you checked out the new Lake Chelan Rotary website yet? It is awesome and a big thanks goes to Les Cooper for updating it and putting the new format together.  It has a lot of helpful information about Rotary, and includes access to back issues of Lake Views.  To access the website just go up to the upper left corner of this newsletter and click on the Quick Link to Lake Chelan Rotary.

**********

On September 5 was the board meeting and our very efficient secretary Paul Schmidt has issued the minutes.  You can review them by clicking on Board Minutes for 9-5-2014.
