"I get so much more in return than I can ever give back."

       2012 Volunteer of the Year

Twice a year, The Women's Center trains Victim Advocates to provide crisis counseling and emotional support to sexual assault survivors and their families at the hospital and on the Rape Crisis and Victim Services Hotline. Over and over, we hear from volunteers like Christi Cameron that the work is so rewarding.

A traumatic experience can leave a person in constant fright or feeling numb, disconnected, and unable to trust other people. The Women's Center now offers a Trauma Support group for adults every Tuesday evening starting at 6:00pm.  Any adult dealing with current or past trauma related to crime or abuse may attend.   Read more.
