Best Question of the Week

Thank you so much for my spiritual astrology reading! I would say it is about 90% accurate, and it is the most detailed reading I have ever had, but I'm still lost. What should I do?

First, I have to say I don't tell people what to do. I see myself more like a driving instructor. Once you learn how to drive, where you go is up to you. That is gift of Free Will from The Universe.

Second, do you need a reading to tell you what you already know about soul? I don't send out readings so you can see how accurate I can be. They are sent as a tool to help you harness the energy of your soul, overcome the challenges in your relationships (you can only evolve through relationships) and create the future you wish to experience.

I have some more thoughts on "being lost," which you can read by following the link, but there are three very important steps of spiritual steps of evolution you have to understand to harness the energy of your soul. The first one is Spiritual Enlightenment, and I suggest you start with that link.

Basically, if you are "lost" today, can you define what your world would be like if you weren't lost? That is the first step towards creating a new path for yourself.

I would also recommend understanding the Temptations. Being "lost" is a choice you make. You are choosing not to create a better version of yourself. One temptation is very good at keeping you "lost." It is Sloth, which means to do nothing. The next time you feel helpless or lost, go to that page and watch the 10 second video there.

Lastly, if you learn how to use your Daily Spiritual Astrology Readings, I promise you that you will see relevant communications from the universe that will help guide you on your path. What is Chakra?  

  

Mind, body, and soul; man has aspired to understand and quantify these inner-workings since the very beginning. As a result, countless forms of spirituality and religious thinking have so risen throughout time to do the job. One fascinating, complex, and very ancient system of belief involves chakra. But what is chakra?

A good place to start answering the question, "What is chakra?" is in referring to the concept of pressure points.

Most people understand how pressure points exist in different parts of the body and how irritation and disturbance of these points can cause some very discomforting sensations.

Chakras are similar to this, but with an interconnection to the mind, body, and soul.

Shared by Hinduism, Buddhism, and several other spiritualities, the chakra system is quite intricate. Chakras are individual energy points located throughout the human body. These points form an energy map in which energy flows from one chakra point to the next in a system of very specific vayu pathways.

Each part of this network of chakras is assigned deities, colors, and other attributes. And each part is responsible for an aspect of our lives, whether it be sadness, a simple body pain, or a matter of soul health.

With this said, having well aligned, healthy chakra is the key to true spiritual vitality, a healthy body, and even ultimate enlightenment. These potentials are great. However one must devote much time and study in order to reach these pinnacles. Such chakra alignment and status is not achieved overnight.

On the other hand, it is believed that those who do not care for their chakra system are doomed to a fate of preventable struggles and sufferings. An unhealthy throat chakra can result in dishonest tendencies, hyperactivity, and even toothaches. On the other hand, an unhealthy heart chakra can lead to depression, anger issues, or even asthma.

As such, it is important to maintain one's chakra energy system. Several methods exist for doing this. One is chakra meditation. Another is chakra healing. We review the basics of these two traditional methods of chakra healing and maintenance.

Chakra Meditation

Meditation is one of the oldest and possibly the most traditional way of working with chakra health. And to properly meditate, the environment must first be calm and comfortable. Also wear comfortable clothing. There must be no distractions and maximum comfort.

A beginner could practice by getting into a comfortable lying down or sitting position. From here, slowly zone out the outside world and devote a calm focus on the self. Concentrate on lengthened, deep breathing through the nose.

Focus on the body's energy and if there is a problem area, focus on it. Pass the energy through the problem chakra area and feel the deep, mind, body, and soul balance reshape. Once finished, slowly return to a normal state and reap the benefits.

Chakra Yoga

Similar to meditation, yoga also uses a meditative state, but with an additional element of physical poses and positions. The practitioner will assume a specific pose and combine its physical effects with mind-soul meditation and focus. In using yoga for chakra balance, a common practice is to focus on specific chakras. This more targeted practice enables one yo fine tune yoga to their own personal circumstances, needs, and personality.

For example, someone suffering from restlessness could benefit from the Uttanasana and Janu Sirsasana poses. These particular poses work with the hamstrings and other areas to provide the chakra gift of calmness and patience. A sufferer of bladder or sexual problems would benefit greatly from a routine focused on the Svadisthana chakra. Yoga poses such as the Cow Face Pose, the Bound Angle Pose, and the Open Angle Pose concentrate on the healing and balance of this particular chakra.

Now that you understand the basics of the chakra system, here are some interesting and novel facts on the subject.
  • Hindu-inspired chakra jewelry is a growing icon of popularity among many celebrities including Paloma Faith, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Blake Lively, and Drew Barrymore.
  • Scientific studies have recently verified yoga to be very helpful in improving sexual health and function.
  • Chakras are believed to also grow and shrink in size, according to their condition.
  • Chakra literally means "wheel" in the ancient Sanscrit language.
  • Light is believed to be at the center of all life. The seven primary colors of a rainbow are represented in the seven main chakras.
  • Animals also have chakras but they are quite different from those of humans.

In conclusion, being in tune with your chakras is believed to be immeasurably helpful to the well-being of the mind, body, and spirit.
Ailments can be thus treated and a higher frame of consciousness attained. Try working with your own chakras and see what millions of people have practiced and relied on since ancient times.
