Emily joins Performing Arts Workshop after recently serving as Executive Director of Young Audiences of Northern California.  Her work in the field of arts education extends to her service as an Executive Committee member of the Arts Providers Alliance of San Francisco and as a grant review panelist for the California Arts Commission.

Before transitioning to a career in arts administration, Emily attended Yale and Manhattan School of Music and performed opera professionally in the United States and Germany. While singing professionally, she worked as a teaching artist, through which she gained experience in program design and implementation. Emily continues to sing and teach voice on weekends, and is a passionate consumer of the diverse artistic delights on offer in the San Francisco Bay Area.
