COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This workshop is an introduction to the use of Tarot in psychotherapy. The course will introduce a unique technique for illuminating and working with dreams through the use of the Tarot and its images. In addition, the presenter will explore a variety of other ways in which the Tarot can be integrated into a psychotherapy clinician's work and the client's journey. This workshop is an outgrowth of the instructor's training in the Jungian Analyst Training Program at the C.G. Jung Institute, Boston, MA.
Healing happens on a deeper level when it is not solely something cognitive, but involves images, which have the potential of providing corrective emotional experiences. The images of the tarot can facilitate such cathartic experiences.
This workshop will also focus on the ethical and responsible use of this and other alternative tools.
Prior knowledge of the Tarot and Jungian psychology may be useful, but is not required.
