BLOUNTVILLE

Historic Blountville Ruritan's Annual 4th of July Parade is set for 2 PM on Saturday, July 4, 2015.  Also, be sure to visit the Old Deery Inn and Museum which will be open from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. Admission to the Inn will include a tour of the property, along with historical games and a hotdog lunch that includes watermelon, popcorn and lemonade. Information at 423.323.4660.

 

KINGSPORT

The Kingsport Mack Riddle American Legion 62nd Annual Independence Day Parade is set for Saturday, July 4, 2015, at 10 a.m. The parade is presented by AccuForce and Premier Pharmacy. The cost for parade entries is $30. Information at 423.392/8800.

 

PINEY FLATS

Historic Rocky Mount festivities begin at 1 PM as you celebrate Independence Day as it would have been in 1791.  Events will include a reading of the Declaration of Independence, hanging of ribbons on the "Liberty Tree" and honoring those who protect our freedom. The ceremony is free of admission. Living History tours will be offered from 11-4 at regular price. BRISTOL

Bristol's Independence Day Parade will begin at 5 PM on State Street in Bristol on Saturday, July 4, 2015.  The parade lineup will begin at 3 PM on Morrison Boulevard.  The parade will be followed by the Star-Spangled Car Show beginning at 6 PM in the TriSummit Bank Parking Lot.  Evening activities also include the Great American Lions Club Rubber Duck Race at 6:15 PM in Cumberland Square Park, and Border Bash Concerts beginning at 7 PM. Evening will conclude with the Fireworks Display at 10 PM near Cumberland Square Park.
