Birthplace of Country Music Museum grand opening weekend!
Get ready for a rockin' weekend at The Birthplace of Country Music Museum in downtown Bristol as it celebrates its grand opening beginning Friday, August 1! Honoring the 1927 Bristol Sessions recording, the 24,000 square-foot museum will "tell Bristol's story as the home of the Bristol Sessions through permanent exhibits, a special exhibits gallery, educational programs, multiple film experiences, and a theater dedicated exclusively to live, year-round music performances".  The museum will also include an interactive map reflecting country music's origins, and a small church that shows a video on the role of gospel music.
