Take me back 200 years, to a time when life was simple. On Sept. 27-28, The Netherland Inn will do just that by opening its doors for a Heritage Quilt, Clothing and Craft Show from 10 AM to 4 PM each day. For a $5 donation, guests may tour the entire historic property, including the Museum of Pioneer Transportation, and see the beautiful handmade heritage quilts and lap robes. A special vintage clothing exhibit will include the 1871 wedding dress of Margaret Netherland Stamps, granddaughter of Richard Netherland. Lunch with dessert and drink will be available for $5. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the Appalachian Quilt Trail. The event also features artisans and craft demonstrations by skilled interpreters. The Netherland Inn is located at 2144 Netherland Inn Rd., Kingsport, TN. For further information, please call 423.440.2906.
