Your generous support enables GALT to continue helping greyhounds in need. For instance, so far in 2015, GALT accepted 154 hounds into our program. Eleven of them came with broken legs, 34 were found as strays, 25 were surrendered by their owners and 13 were rescued in cruelty seizures! Additionally, with your support, we found homes for 153 hounds so far in 2015!
The continued support of people like you makes it possible for GALT to always answer the next call for help. In this season of giving, please pledge your commitment to GALT and our "no grey turned away™" philosophy by becoming a GALT member for 2016. Memberships fund medical care for injured or ill hounds, boarding expenses until foster homes can be arranged, transportation of dogs to our program, fundraising activities, necessary business costs such a insurance, meet and greet supplies, and everything else required for the dogs such as collars, leashes and microchips.
In return, members enjoy special privileges, such as:
- concierge checkout at the Retired Athlete's Dinner (no standing in line to pay for raffle or auction items!);
- preferred seating at The Mercury "Cooking for the Hounds" event; and
- free members only raffles and goodies at key events throughout the year.
It's easy to sign up online via the GALT GreytStore. Here's the link:
As you'll see at the link, we offer several membership levels from $25 to $1,500 to fit your budget. Be sure to check out the great incentive benefits, such as the 10% off coupon for GreytStore purchases at the $50 Silver Membership
level and the free 2 Hounds Design custom collar at the $500 Diamond Membership level! If online isn't your thing, please mail a check for at least $25 with the notation "membership" to GALT at 3400 Carlisle Street, Suite 310, Dallas, Texas, 75204-1265.
Remember to sign up for your 2016 membership before the year end to maximize your 2015 tax benefit! And GALT memberships make a great holiday gift for the person that already has everything.
Thank you for your support and your steadfast commitment to the hounds. GALT's members and volunteers are the lifeblood of the organization and the reason GALT can stay true to its "no grey turned away™" philosophy. We are deeply grateful.

Victor celebrated his 13th birthday on December 11th, 2015! We wish him the happiest of birthdays and many more. He is still a silly fun boy with much love to give. Victor joined his current family when he was already a senior at nearly 12 years old. Senior greyhounds are one of the best kept secrets - let's get the word out so more like Victor find their forever homes!
