Did you remember that tomorrow is Greyhounds in the Country? Come out and treat your hounds to a fun-filled playdate on Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at the Sanger Country home of Barb and Andy Berner, less than 50 miles north of Dallas on I-35N. (There's no rain forecasted for tomorrow, but the rain date is Saturday, June 7 if needed.)
All you can eat Tex Mex, including dessert, soft drink, water or coffee, is the menu of choice for $10 and for an additional $10 your beverage choice of wine or beer is available. Register Here!
This event is limited to no more than 40 greyhounds, and there are only a few spots left, so get your spot reserved NOW! This is a wonderful opportunity to allow your muzzled greyhound to run free on TWO acres of fenced-in countryside! You are responsible for bringing a muzzle for your greyhound, as well as picking up after them and monitoring their behavior at the event. There will be home baked treats for your greyhound! If you have not been to this before, this is a perfect time to go and check it out!
A bake sale will be conducted to benefit GALT's greyhounds! We will also be collecting collars, leashes and coats for the Galgos.
This is a really fun event that you WILL NOT WANT TO MISS!

STRUT YOUR MUTT

It's that time of year again - when we strut our stuff for the GALT greyhounds. The best part is that you can strut anywhere - in your neighborhood, at the gym or even by just kicking back on your couch if that is your preferred style. You don't need a greyhound to strut; you don't even need a dog! The Central Texas GALT representatives will be stepping out this year in Austin on September 13th in the Best Friends Strut Your Mutt Walk and need our support. If you're interested in participating in the actual walk in Austin, please contact us for more details. We can, of course, be with them in spirit, but we can also show our support no matter where we are as they put their best feet forward for the GALT greys! Your generous support of Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc. in past years has enabled us to help many greyhounds in need. In the last fiscal year, we accepted 149 hounds into our program. This included 11 with broken legs; a stray momma saluki/greyhound mix with 7 newborn puppies; and notably, 3 stray male greyhound pups tied together with shoestrings. During this same timeframe, GALT found loving homes for 153 hounds! Please join us for this fun-filled event either by registering for our team to raise funds or by donating to one of our existing team members. Your donation is tax-deductible and all the money raised will go to help GALT's greyhounds. Together, and through your support, we can live up to our standard of "No Grey Turned Away!" To donate via CASH or CHECK instead of CREDIT CARD, please make the check out to Greyhound Adoption League of Texas or enclose a note with the cash and send to: Best Friends Animal Society Attn: Strut Your Mutt 5001 Angel Canyon Road Kanab, UT 84741 |
