Happy Valentine's Day! Are you ready for Reba? Reba, aka My Rebate, is a 5-year-old red female born May 6, 2008. Her sire is Dodgem By Design and her dam is B's Just Do It. Reba has 179 races on record on greyhound-data.com,  starting at Wheeling Downs on February 21, 2010, moving to Southland on September 22, 2010, and then one more move to Gulf Greyhound Park on December 2, 2011. She finished her career there on September 25, 2013.
Reba has passed an initial cat test.
Reba is fawn-colored with a white nose and beauty marks that make her one-of-a-kind! She is one of the sweetest greyhounds you will ever meet! It feels like we have had her forever because she adapted to our house and lifestyle right away. It is easy to fall in love with such a well-behaved dog. She lives with another greyhound, a kitty and two children and gets along with all. She loves to take walks and will stay right next to you the whole time. Reba loves to be rubbed and will flip on her side so you can rub her all over! She does like having another greyhound around...she is more of a follower and does whatever the other greyhound does. Time to eat? Ok! Time to potty? Ok! Time for a walk? Ok! Time for a nap? Ok! We love her and I know you will too!

2014 Greyt Retired Athletes Benefit Dinner & Auction

Join GALT for our 2014 Greyt Retired Athletes Benefit Dinner and Auction to support our "No Grey Turned Away" mission. Purchase tickets for $125 per person or secure a table of 10 for $1,250. Your ticket provides a seated, three course dinner with a choice of III Forks' famous Chateaubriand or salmon with a vegetarian entree available. You'll also get two beer/wine tickets at dinner.
UPDATE: Mean Joe Greene and Randy White, retired NFL Hall of Fame athletes, will be joining us this event! Our other esteemed guests are Brady Tinker of DFWSportsBeat.com, Mark Followill, the Voice of the Mavericks and Burton Gilliam a Hollywood Actor you know from Blazing Saddles, Back to the Future Part III and more. Come enjoy a night of bidding, rubbing elbows with a few of our Retired Athletes, both 2- and 4-legged, dinner and drinks.

NORTH TEXAS IRISH FESTIVAL
 This year GALT will be at the North Texas Irish Festival again - an event that does not disappoint! Held at Fair Park, this year's festival is March 1 & 2 and the theme is That's right - the whole festival is dog themed this year to promote the Celtic canine! This means we are looking for volunteers, both 2 and 4-legged, to come out and participate in GALT's booth in the Centennial Building.
Available shifts:  Friday Feb. 28 - 1:30pm (set up)
Sat. March 1 from 11am-2pm
Sat. March 1 from 2pm-5pm
Sun. March 2 from 11am-2pm
Sun. March 2 from 2pm-5pm (at 5pm we will break down the booth)
Please email Terry if you and your hound(s) can come out, and which shift you can do. We will notify all volunteers with a final schedule. Thanks!
