Have you met this love bug yet? Edward, aka Gable Eddard, is a 2-year-old fawn brindle male born July 29, 2011. His sire is Gable Wyatt and his dam is Tipp Violet. Edward had no interest in racing, so he headed straight for retirement. This handsome boy can't wait to meet you!

Edward should not live with cats.

Edward With Sweet Edward around, it means you will never be alone!  He loves with all his heart and is quick with big sloppy kisses.  While we believe "Edward" is a bit too formal for this lovable guy, he acts more like an "Eddie".  Edward is young, silly and inquisitive - he doesn't counter-surf but if something interesting is within reach, he will use his height advantage and long snout to check it out up close and personal.  Meal time is the greatest time of the day - that's when he turns into Tigger!  Edward does suffer from separation anxiety and we relocated his crate to the bedroom so he knows we are close by. Edward is enjoying the comfort of his foster home and he seeks out the cushy-est dog beds to rest his bones.  Edward wants nothing more than to have people of his own to love and cherish.  If you're looking for a faithful, joyful companion to keep you company and become the center of his universe, Edward is the one for you!

-Edward's Foster Mom

calendars While the deadline has passed for photo submissions for the GALT 2014 calendar, we are still accepting Calendar Sponsors until September 1st. This is your chance to make your greyhound infamous! So pull out those pictures of runaway tongues, bad costumes, and yakking in the yard and send them to Melody with "Sponsor" in the subject line. Then, go buy the sponsorship online and pick out your month (the sooner you buy, the more likely to get the month you want)!

Don't forget to tell your friends, relatives and co-workers about the GREYT GOLF TOURNAMENT on September 24! Forward this eNews to them and see if they'd like to participate in GALT's first ever golf fundraiser! Teams of 4 are being formed, so don't wait! Everybody knows somebody who golfs - get them involved! Or, for entertainment's sake, form a team of amateurs and make it interesting - who knows? Maybe someone will go pro!
We have two exciting celebrity players: Mark Followill, the play-by-play TV announcer for the Dallas Mavericks, and Brady Tinker, host of DFW Sports Beat on KTXD-TV.
