Have you tried Pepsi? Not the cola, the greyhound! Pepsi, aka Pepsi Paws, is a 10-year-old red fawn male born April 29, 2003. His sire is Winky Dink and his dam is I'll Say She Can. Pepsi has 6 races to his credit on, all at Valley Race Park in Texas in 2005. Pepsi is going to put some pep into finding a forever home!

Pepsi should not live with cats.

PepsiPepsi is a very sweet and quite a retired gentlemen.  He is in no hurry to get up in the morning, because he sleeps so well at night.  He has the run of the house during the day when we are at work, never bothering anything or having accidents.  He shares our house with our three other female greyhound girls and they all get along very well.  He loves to be outside, always peering out the door or windows.  He often is on the hunt for pesky squirrels and gives them a run for their money up a tree or a fence.  He just recently learned to eat cookies from our hands and now he has learned about them he is quickly becoming very interested in them.  He loves to follow you around from room to room, and if you are outside working, he will lie outside until you have finished your task (when our other younger girls have run inside because they are too tired or warm).  Pepsi has the funniest fold over ears and the softest fur.  When we brought him home, our girls flirted with him for the longest time!

If you are looking for a sweet, laid back boy (who is quite handsome to boot), that is dedicated to you and loving, Pepsi is your boy.

leash Check out the Greytstore for these new Bun-Gee Leashes! The dog leash is a shock absorber and creates a cushion from any sudden moves made by you or your dog. As you encounter your dogs pull, the Bun-Gee Pup-EE leash stretches from 3 ft. to 5 ft. and the resistance your pet experiences teaches them not to tug anymore, helping you to train your dog!  Even if your dog doesn't play tug-a-war, it still looks terrific and functions perfectly. Excellent hardware to attach to collar. Your dogs weight determines which size you need. Size Large to 65 lbs. $22.00  Size X-Large to 165 lbs. for the really strong dog. $27.00. Purchase Leash

Over the next few months we will be adding more new items to the store, including other dog breeds and cat items. So check back often because you can look forward to seeing items for the overall Pet Lover coming soon!

Help the GALT hounds and celebrate with them without those scary fireworks! A $5 donation will put a virtual cupcake on a hound's page, and a $15 donation will put a virtual picnic basket on their page. Each can be inscribed with the donor's name or an in-honor-of name of your choice. We are in need of help this summer after receiving so many greyhounds needing medical attention.

Show your love and support of the GALT greyhounds and help decide which GALT greyhound will have the biggest picnic!

Sweeper, aka CTW Mind Sweeper, is a 4-year-old red male with a dark mask born April 20, 2009. His sire is CTW Legendary and his dam is CTW Pure Touch. Sweeper's 23 race career started at the Tri State track on January 17, 2011 and ended at the Wheeling Downs track on April 7, 2012. Sweeper is not cat trainable. He was in a home for seven months but has returned to GALT due to being unhappy there. Sweeper is sure to sweep right into your heart!
Honey is a young, tan and black deerhound/greyhound mix believed to be between 2 and 3 years old. Honey was picked up as a stray in Pampa, TX, and was transferred to GALT from a rescue group in Pampa. A volunteer there kindly groomed her long tresses! Honey is being medically evaluated by Dr. Wick Culp of the Animal Medical Center in Amarillo. She showed no interest in the cats and small dogs she was hanging out with in Pampa, and is ignoring the cats in her foster home as well.

If you have been considering fostering, or know someone who is considering fostering, now would be a great time to jump in! If anyone can help, even temporarily, please contact
