Greetings!

Arthur

Hello Handsome! This cutie pie is Arthur. Arthur is a small, untattooed, black male with white feet, and a splash of white on his nose, tail and chest. He is estimated to be about 2 years old. He was found as astray on a ranch outside of Crosbyton, TX near Lubbock along with Penelope andTimothy. All three are thin and were extremely happy to find someone willing to shelter, water, and feed them! Thankfully, Arthur is heartworm negative, and GALT's West Texas representatives took good care of him. Since these pictures, Arthur has had his tail docked due to an injury. Arthur was in a home for a couple of months, but has since returned to GALT through no fault of his own.

Arthur is cat tolerant. Come meet him at Three Dog Bakery-Southlake this Saturday!

arthur face Arthur is a sweet, handsome boy who loves playing with stuffed animals, wrestling and running. He is very attentive and extremely obedient. He is smaller than most male greyhounds. Arthur's tail was bobbed but his ears are floppy so he looks a little like Goofy and has the personality to match. Arthur is housetrained, great with people, children, other dogs, and cats. Arthur is working on his obedience training and already knows sit, shake, down, and leave it. He loves his toys and chewing on his rawhides. He is a COOKIE MONSTER and goes bonkers for his treats.

Arthur would do great in an active home with kids and other pets because he really loves to run and play with people and other dogs.

HAPPY HOUNDS, HAPPY HOMES - PENNY & LEO

When Penny (fka Becky) first arrived at our house, she was much different from the dog she is today. She was afraid of everything, so much so that on walks she would shut down and refuse to move. On more than one occasion, I had to pick her up and carry her until she was at a more comfortable spot and could continue. It took her three months to actually get off the couch and look excited when we got home. pennyleo After many months and a lot of patience, her true personality started to shine through. Now she has no problems walking outside; in fact she will cry and cry until we get the leashes out. She is very smart and knows words like car, dog park, walk, treat and hungry so we have to be careful and sometimes spell around her. She loves learning new tricks and picks up on them very quickly. It is so amazing to see how far she has come and what a different dog she now is!

Less than a year after we got Penny, we decided she needed a friend and that is when the handsome lug Leo (formerly Shogun) joined our family. He was so much different from Penny. The first day he came right into our house and made himself at home. He is a big lovable goofball and puts a smile on the face of everyone he meets. Penny and Leo make an adorable pair and are both completely spoiled. Our two hounds complete our family, and we could not imagine life without them!

GALT would love to publish your GALT hound's story in an upcoming edition of the GALT eNews.  Please submit your story and a photo (no cell phone photos please) to Rita Wulke at rwwulke@gmail.com
