Greetings!

It's countdown to Easter and that means there's only a few days left to make a donation to the GALT hounds' Easter Baskets! There's lots of dogs on the site that only have one treat, so why not go take a look and see who could use some more eggies or bunnies in their basket? We'll make it easy: Amigo, Angie, Cash, CJ, Davey, Diane, Gordon, Midnight, Minnie, Peggy, Skywalker, Virginia, Chelsi, HiTop, Chi Chi, Celia, Martha, Money, Prissy, Sugar Ray, Shadow, Walker, Witty, and Wyatt all have one or no goodies in their baskets yet. Give a little something to help them have a good Easter!
Here's how it works:
Each hound has a virtual Easter Basket on their page - a $5 donation will put an Easter egg on their page, $15 will give them a chocolate bunny. Either can be inscribed with the donor's name or an in-honor-of name.
Show your love and support of the GALT greyhounds still looking for homes! Donate here

NEWS YOU CAN USE
Does the jingle of dog tags drive you crazy? Don't leave your pet without identification because of it! There are several solutions to the jingle-jangle problem if it bugs you. Boomerang Tags makes a nice flat tag that slides directly onto a collar. Or you can get a bag that holds the tags together silently and either hangs from a collar or wraps onto it. Or get your dog's name and a phone number embroidered directly on a special ID collar - there are several places online to find these, just google!

HAPPY HOUNDS, HAPPY HOMES - ANGIE
At the end of February 2012. I was on the GALT Facebook page. I saw pictures of three greyhounds that had just arrived - Amber, Millie, and Angela. They were the personal dogs of Diane Whiteley who was very ill and could not take care of them. After looking at the page for Angela, I quickly realized that she is the litter mate of our girl, Maggie (LRC Maggie May). I knew right then that Angela would come to live with us. Ever since we got her, she has been a complete joy to be around. She is a very special, silly, loving, quirky girl that has been an outstanding addition to our pack, not to mention a greyt friend for our girls. Even though Maggie and Angie didn't grow up together and have the same experiences, the similarities between the two sisters are amazing! There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not thankful to have Angie with us. She makes me laugh every day. We love you, Angie Lou!
GALT would love to publish your GALT hound's story in an upcoming edition of the GALT eNews. Please submit your story and a photo (no cell phone photos please) to Rita Wulke at rwwulke@gmail.com
