Happy Holidays!

Our office is closed this week and will reopen on Monday, December 30th.

Your extraordinary support and good will over the past year has meant so much to us. We hope you find time to rest, celebrate and cherish every precious moment with family and friends.

For many Oregonians, this week can bring anxiety as they search for ways to provide basics such as food for their families. Though our office is dark, you can still help end hunger by making an online donation this week.

Thank you for helping us make meaningful progress toward ending hunger this year. On behalf of our entire staff, warmest wishes for a wonderful holiday!

Special opportunity: The Oregonian newspaper
The Oregonian newspaper is finalizing editorial priorities for 2014 and invited readers to share their ideas. The problem of hunger in Oregon deserves a place on their agenda.

We talk about this issue every day, but how can we spark a broader public conversation that raises awareness and inspires action?

Please urge The Oregonian to make hunger a priority!

Before you ring in the new year with family and friends, write a letter urging the editorial board to focus on the topic of hunger over the coming year. Letters must not exceed 150 words and can be sent to letters@oregonian.com. More information...

Ending hunger in our states requires each of us to take action. Thank you for joining with us and sharing your voice!

Thank You!
Thank you for making #GivingTuesday, on December 3, truly special. With your support, we exceeded our goal!

Thanks to those who gave, as well as Pacific Pie, Eastside Distilling and Laughing Planet. Laughing Planet's special percent day for hunger ended up doubling the dollars raised.

Thank you to the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund and the Irwin Foundation for their support of our childhood hunger prevention project. Recent grants will allow us to partner with more community organizations in Oregon to nourish children.
