Stats, Graphs, and Data Science1
Hosted by the Nevada Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
This hands–on workshop brings "information not available anywhere else." (A recent MAI student). Technology has changed. Data, analytics, visual methods all help the appraiser work faster with better accuracy and credibility.

The focus is on timely practical tools; using data science technology, analytics software, and "evidence-based" valuation practice. Valuemetrics has identified and brought evolutionary tools and methods to appraisers since 1996.
The class will have one or more learning assistants, to help with the hands-on exercises and software keystrokes. Students leave with examples and software templates, the text workbook, open-source spreadsheet, statistical, graphical software; and the most popular data analysis package: R and RStudio.
The introductory prerequisite class for the "new valuation modeling paradigm" is Stats, Graphs, and Data Science1, for 14 hours CE credit. Prepare now for the "new valuation modeling paradigm" — EBVP (Evidence Based Valuation practice).
The methods are universal, and useful immediately for residential, income, agricultural, and special use properties. We integrate the three scientific ways of thinking and reasoning: abductive, deductive, and inductive.
Current problems with "advanced quantitative methods" are noted. The complexity and mystery of inferential sample statistics is dismissed.
