Tuesday, November 10th - Demystifying The Multiplier
Lee Bartholomew, Certified General Appraiser, ASA, MRICS, will discuss the basics in the income approach. He will cover cap rates, multipliers, ratios, and how they relate and how to derive reliable gross rate multipliers (GRMS).
He will explore using the GRM to:
-Support market value
-Support market conditions
-Value additional site structures/components
-Other uses of the multiplier
The class will finish with a discussion of pitfalls and warnings.

Wednesday, November 18th - Architecture Styles for Appraisers
James Dixon will cover Victorian and Edwardian Residential Architectural Styles & Residential Architectural Styles 1920-Now. The characteristics of each style and how to identify each; what is genuine, what has been altered or damaged through remodeling and renovation; what are the differences between housing styles or periods; and the valuation considerations among different styles.

REAA is looking for someone to take over the website responsibilities. Please let us know if you or someone you know is interested in taking on the following position. We're looking for someone that is comfortable with computers and web design skills, moderate HTML knowledge, Database programming knowledge would be a plus.
1) Responsible for posting, creating, updating, and maintaining Home Page of REAACA.ORG, as well as updating pages of content assigning to members without access to website
2) Responsible for maintaining tight access of 2nd level/Chapter administrators for REAACA.ORG
3) Relaying problems/issues to WebDesigner (CreativeLink)
4) Responsible for oversight of 2nd Level Admin/Chapter Administrators to maintain consist and timely updating of new accounts, content, and class pages.
5) Maintaining roster of members - Periodic audit of accounts and directing questionable accounts to 2nd Level Admins
6) Responsible for issuing Yahoo Purchase links to 2nd level/Chapter Admins upon request in a timely fashion.
7) Coordinate with the corporate board to meet REAA organizational needs for an online presence.
8) Lead needs assessment to provide guidance to corporate board for future website development.
9) Oversee development of documentation of how to use the website for various user groups (chapter admins, chapter members, etc.)
