FHA has just released its new Criteria and while currently voluntary they will be REQUIRED after September 15, 2015. This class will provide you with a detailed understanding of the new 4000.1 document and Appraisal Report and Data Delivery Guide including:
* Steps for the appraiser's observation of the property.
* Responsibilities as to viewing of attic and crawl space (if any) and what to look for.
* Considerations of what is a "required repair" versus an "as is" condition.
* Re-inspection requirements related to follow up on repairs required.
* Discussion of health and safety issues versus cosmetic repairs.
* Repairs versus cosmetic conditions.
* "As is" or "subject to" requirements appraiser must consider.
This course is suitable for experienced FHA appraisers looking for information on the rule changes, but also for the appraiser who is new to, or considering adding FHA appraisals to their range of services.
Barry Cleverdon has been teaching at a College level since 1991 and is a Certified USPAP Instructor. He has authored many CEU Classes and is actively engaged as a Real Estate Appraiser and Educator.
