WLC Hosts Annual Fundraiser Tomorrow!
Fifth Annual Women's Leadership Council Holiday Fundraising Luncheon

Wednesday, November 18, 2015
Best Western Gateway Grand
11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

It's an exciting time of the year for us! Tomorrow the Women's Leadership Council will host their annual fundraiser featuring more than 20 local vendors, including Kitchen and Spice, The Tease Hair and Sewing Salon, Lang Jewelers, Alternatives Global Marketplace and Scentsy, that will participate in the annual holiday shopping mall, available exclusively to Luncheon attendees, located in the hotel lobby and promenade. After an hour of shopping, lunch will be served from 12 to 1 p.m. with time allotted for more shopping after lunch. Additionally, all proceeds from ticket sales and 20% of all vendor sales will be donated back to UWNCFL's ReadingPals initiative.

Keynote speaker Dr. Hardt will share her passion for connecting science and GIS mapping toward helping to devise poverty solutions. In 2008, Dr. Hardt worked with others to invent a new tool to zero in on poverty-stricken hotspots in the city so public health professionals could devise comprehensive treatment and preventive care measures that targeted the highest risk communities. For her efforts, Dr. Hardt won the 2013 Sapphire Award for Individual Excellence.

It's going to be a wonderful event! Look out for photos in the next newsletter!
