We're looking for crafts people, makers and entertainers to vend at Bellingham's first night market. If you have a sculpture that glows in the dark, are a roving poet or fortune teller, can teach people crafts while they listen to music, want to showcase your latest invention, can cook up some tasty ethnic food, organize dance parties or do any other crazy, festive activity- let us know! For best consideration, please apply by August 3rd at CommercialStreetNightMarket.com
We'll hear from Moles Farewell Tributes and Whatcom Cremation & Funeral about the process of handling bereavement in the workplace.  What kind of supports can you offer? What community tools are available?  What are typical bereavement policies and what are some creative coping strategies?
Join the NWAIA and Sustainable Connections on a tour of two nationally recognized factories in Ferndale that custom manufacture residential structures. Both Cascade Joinery and Method Homes specialize in custom construction, green building and innovation.

High-performance building projects and programs like EnergyStar, Passivhaus and Next Step Homes are driving down carbon emissions from buildings through the use of innovative designs and technology integrated into healthy, high-performing homes and buildings. This session will introduce the Code Innovations Database, a new web-based resource to accelerate the sharing of information about successful innovations so more high-performance projects can be built.

Held the third Thursday of the month, Member Connect is a lively and fun networking opportunity for our members. Join us to make connections, find ways to do business locally, and learn about available resources. The meeting is led by Sustainable Connections staff with a more formalized and structured networking approach.
This inaugural event boasts 7 local chefs and 7 gourmet courses featuring the freshest, most delicious food sourced directly from local farms. Guests will enjoy a rich menu, bucolic setting, live music, delicious libations and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit the work of Sustainable Connections collaboration with the NW Washington Chefs Collaborative including the support of chef mentorships, education in schools and new farmers.
