Most of the clothing we wear comes from very far away but right here, in our own community Teresa and her team are locally manufacturing beautiful clothing out of natural and responsibly sourced fabrics.Tour texture's workshop and see how clothes are made. After viewing texture we'll travel to Ragfinery, a non-profit training business and textile reuse center. We'll learn about how used and scrap textiles are being used to help workers learn new skills and how they're being reused and recycled.

High-performance building projects and programs like EnergyStar, Passivhaus and Next Step Homes are driving down carbon emissions from buildings through the use of innovative designs and technology integrated into healthy, high-performing homes and buildings. This session will introduce the Code Innovations Database, a new web-based resource to accelerate the sharing of information about successful innovations so more high-performance projects can be built.

Held the third Thursday of the month, Member Connect is a lively and fun networking opportunity for our members. Join us to make connections, find ways to do business locally, and learn about available resources. The meeting is led by Sustainable Connections staff with a more formalized and structured networking approach.

This inaugural event boasts 7 local chefs and 7 gourmet courses featuring the freshest, most delicious food sourced directly from local farms. Guests will enjoy a rich menu, bucolic setting, live music, delicious libations and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit the work of Sustainable Connections collaboration with the NW Washington Chefs Collaborative including the support of chef mentorships, education in schools and new farmers.
