The Dirt on Low Impact Development
A Designer's and Installer's Workshop
Low Impact Development is now a first choice for designers and regulators. With new stormwater policies and incentives, it is critical to stay ahead of the curve and know what to expect at the permit center. Join Sustainable Connections and the BIAWC for a 2.5 hour workshop to get the dirt on Low Impact Development in Whatcom County.
In this workshop attendees will:
- Learn about changes to the Ecology Stormwater Manual
- Learn how to participate in the promotional campaign and Whatcom County LID Resource Guide
- Discover Lake Whatcom Best Management Practices
- Updates to the Homeowner Incentive Program (HIP) and City of Bellingham LID incentives
- Get technical installation education and discover common installation challenges and mistakes.
This workshop applies to earthwork/grading contractors, general contractors, civil engineers, landscape professionals, and rainwater catchment providers. If you're one of these businesses you are strongly encouraged to attend.
