Three black kittens

We're back in busy-ness! Many thanks to those who fostered cats and dogs   during the closure...and congratulations to those lucky foster "failures" who fell in love! It turns out that Jenny, Newton, Pismo, Rincon, and Tesla were in their forever homes after all.

Of course, there are still many wonderful cats and dogs looking for a place to call home. Come see us soon!

at PLEASANTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

Paws to ReadJoin the Pleasanton Public Library and VHS to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Paws to Read! Meet up at Veteran's Plaza Park in Pleasanton (located at Peters Avenue & Division Street) with your dog at 9:30 am to kick off the event with a pooch parade to the library. Enjoy a mini pet festival after a brief opening ceremony to honor ten years of helping children improve their reading skills. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to meet and greet current Paws to Read teams, participate in a Paws to Read session, create animal-themed art, and learn more about Valley Humane Society's work. For additional information, please contact the Children's Desk of the Pleasanton Public Library at 931-3400, ext. 8.
