Emerging Leader Spotlight: Allison Moe

Allison embraced the Emerging Leader Program by volunteering and participating at the DCI Annual Conference this year in Golden. Through Allison's volunteer role, she participated in networking opportunities that led to her position at McCool Development Solutions with DCI Board Treasurer, Carrie McCool.

Allison just started as an Associate Planner with McCool Development Solutions in Arvada, Colorado.  Her professional background is in affordable housing and community development, working as a construction supervisor with Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver for four years.  She has also done research on topics such as homeless encampments on public property and the impacts of Denver's light rail expansion on businesses.  Allison holds a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University and a Bachelors of Arts in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley, and is excited to apply her knowledge and experience to her new position!

DCI's Emerging Leaders Program is designed for students and new professionals with less than 10 years experience in downtown revitalization fields. Senior Cultural Resources Specialist, Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office 

 

The senior cultural resources specialist is responsible for reviewing complex technical reports, architectural plans, projects plans, and professional archaeological and historic reports for the State of Wyoming. He or she will develop strategies for the preservation and management of historic properties and agreements with government agencies on a variety of topics related to the preservation of archeological and historic resources.

Marketing Specialist, Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation

The marketing specialist will assist with all marketing initiatives at the Metro Denver EDC. Primary responsibilities include writing and editing content for the organization's website, publications, and miscellaneous marketing/communications materials.

This is an executive level position that entails planning and directing the operations of the Logan County Economic Development Corporation (LCEDC). Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to developing marketing strategies, exploring business retention and expansion needs of the area and developing programs to address those needs, soliciting and providing information for potential business relocation clients, managing daily operations and seeking, planning and coordinating use of resources for sustainability of the LCEDC and its special projects.
