The finalists will each receive a $2,000 stipend to produce concept designs.
The artists will share their designs with the community and solicit comments at a public meeting at VietAID on October 20, 2014.
Then the artists' designs will be on display at the Fields Corner Branch Library following this meeting and will also be posted online. The winner will be announced on November 7, 2014.
The Edward Ingersoll Browne Fund is providing the funding for the artist selection process.
The finalists, selected from a highly competitive pool of 144 artists from 27 states and 9 countries, are:
Cliff Garten of Venice, CA; Juanjo Novella of Portugalete - Bizkaia, Spain; Joe O'Connell of Tucson, AZ; and Anh Ngoc Tran of Raleigh, NC.
FCMS was pleased to participate in the selection committee process and we are looking forward to seeing the finalists' designs, and hearing the community's reactions.
