Message from Board Member, Tim Domanick

Summer is nearly upon us. For some businesses, summer is a time to relax with the hustle and bustle of the typical business rush that comes in the beginning of the year now over. For others (like the hospitality industry), it is the start of the busy season. No matter what the summer brings for your business, the Chamber remains available as a resource.

While I am new to the Board, our firm has been dedicated members to the Chamber for years. We have seen small businesses grow and thrive in the challenging Long Island market thanks to the help and support of the Chamber which is offered year-round. This coming summer is an excellent example of the support offered as the Chamber will continue to provide events and other opportunities for members to meet and grow their businesses (especially now that the warm weather has finally arrived). This summer will also provide businesses an opportunity to reassess their business models with revised governmental compliance regulations on the horizon. While the urge to bury your toes in the sand and relax exists, don't do it! Stay active with the Chamber and your business will benefit.

Like anything in life, you only benefit from something if you invest your time and effort into it. So get invested. If you do, the building blocks you forge this summer will carry you through the rest of 2016 and beyond.

Very truly yours,

Tim Domanick, Esq.
