Greetings!
Wow, what a busy year this is shaping up to be. The AWRA HQ calendar is filling up with education events, as well as deadlines for National Board of Directors, Award and Scholarship nominations. In addition, we are scheduling several webinars (watch future issues of The Catalyst for information on an IWRM webinar series). We are guessing that your state section and student chapter event calendars are filling up, too. Or maybe they aren't, but you would like them to. Is there anything we can do to help? AWRA HQ would like to be a better resource for state sections and student chapters, but we aren't sure what you need. Social media help? Website help? Membership solicitation and retention help? Meeting ideas? Other? We want to help. Email Christine McCrehin with your group's specific needs. |

Humboldt U Student Chapter Hosts Events
We have some awesome events that took place last semester including raffling off a kayak, having a dunk tank on the University Quad, water quality testing on The Smith River here in NorcCal and planting redwoods along eroding river banks of local rancher who was losing their land due to bank degradation. Let me know if you would like any pictures of our events. This semester we are attending the Annual Salmonid Restoration Federation Conference in March, which is being held locally in Fortuna, CA. We worked hard and wrote a grant and received $600 through the college to attend. Also we are cleaning up the garbage for McKinleyville Land Trust in an area that leads directly to a watercourse.~ Zoe Merrill, Chapter President Visit the group on Facebook.
