Lane restrictions on U.S. 31 between Greyhound Pass and Monon Trail crossings

Contractors plan to restrict the left lane of U.S. 31 in both directions between Greyhound Pass and the Monon Trail overpass this week for pavement repairs.

The left lanes of northbound and southbound U.S. 31 will be restricted beginning Monday morning (May 6) and will remain restricted until all concrete repairs have fully cured.

The traffic restriction is expected to remain in place for approximately one week. Two lanes are expected to remain open in each direction at all times.

Restrictions on Smokey Row Road and Rohrer Road this week

Utility relocations taking place along The New U.S. 31 Hamilton County corridor will require local traffic restrictions this week on Smokey Row Road and Rohrer Road.

Duke Energy will relocate utility lines at two locations near the north junction of U.S. 31 and Old Meridian Street beginning Monday, May 6.

  • Duke will require temporary traffic stoppages between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Rohrer Road just east of the Old Meridian Street, 136th Street and Eglin Drive intersection through Friday, May 10. Flaggers will stop traffic for a few minutes at a time as trucks enter and exit the work zone.
  • Duke will restrict Smokey Row Road to a single lane between Pro-Med Drive and Kensington Place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10. Flaggers will control one direction of traffic at a time, but access to all businesses and residences will remain open.
