 FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY

SUNDAY,NOVEMBER 4th
The service begins at 1 p.m.
The New Bloomfield Girl Scout Troops will be working with Lynn Van Leaven, from Veteran's Affairs and The Sons of the American Legion Posts #177 & #364 to teach the Scouts to retire flags properly in a dignified ceremony. If you have a flag that needs to be disposed of because it is worn and can not be flown again, please help with this great community service project. Flags are being collected at the Perry County Treasurer's Office, 25 West Main Street, New Bloomfield and the Newport American Post thru November 1st. Please remember to include the name of the person you wish to honor by the retirement of the flag. Any questions regarding this ceremony or the collection of flags, please contact Mary Reisinger at (717) 903-0062 or 582-4111.
