Purchasing Solar Panels has become Cheaper and Easier
Most BGT hotels do not have enough unshaded roof space to make solar photovoltaic (PV) energy viable. For those that do, the price of PV has come down sharply, and it is now much easier to shop for products and vendors.

Cambridge-based EnergySage created the Solar PV Marketplace, which provides a free online platform to help research and shop for PV systems and installations. It allows users to solicit online bids from multiple pre-screened installation providers and make apples to apples comparisons.

This website also has many other features that help purchasers make smart decisions.

AH&LA press release

The Global Soap Project recycles soap from 1100 hotels into 30,000 bars a week. They distribute them to refugees, disaster victims, homeless families, and people living in extreme poverty in the U.S. and many other countries.

EPA Website: Reducing Food Waste for Businesses

This website is a great resource for food waste prevention (reducing food purchases that will end up as waste), food donation, re-purposing cooking oil and sending food to compost facilities.
