With just a few weeks left until the NOVA Open 2013, we've put together this handy guide to help you with check-in on the Big Day!

STEP 1:

Not Pre-Registered? Go to the NOVA Open Store to buy passes/tickets, then proceed to Step 2.
Pre-Registered for 40K? Drop off your Army Lists (see below) and pick up your registration check-in pass.
Pre-Registered for another event? Go directly to the Registration Check-In Desk
NOVA Open 2013 VIP? Go to the NOVA Open 2013 VIP Express Check-In Desk! Badges, Guidebooks, Swag + Pre-Purchased Seminar/Cap Palette/Con T-shirts will be ready for your pick up.

STEP 2:

Charity Army Update- Redemption of the Fallen Photos!

The Trios event will use select missions from the 2013 Final 40k GT Packet (linked above w/in the newsletter); additional information for team construction can be found in the Trios Primer on the NOVA Open website.

40k NARRATIVE TOURNAMENT:

The Narrative Final Primer provides the information required to prepare for the Narrative Event. Look for sneak peaks at the Narrative Missions, possible Covert Missions, and an update/intro to this year's Story with the August 15 Newsletter

40k NOVA FAQ:

The Warhammer 40,000 NOVA FAQ for 2013's events will be available by the end of the day; keep your eyes peeled on the NOVA Open Website and the Whiskey & 40k Blog for links to this document once it uploads. If anyone wishes to protest any given ruling, you will have until Sunday at Noon to do so by e-mailing a dispassionate, concise and rules-referencing argument to novaopen@gmail.com.

40k Army List Drop Off Information

For all 40k Players, the Army List Drop Off will be your first step in your check-in process. You will need to bring a certain number of copies of your lists in accordance with the following:

GT Players: 9 copies of your list
Invitational Players: 6 copies of your list
Trios Players: 4 copies of your team list + 2 copies of your individual lists (per individual player)
Narrative Players: 5 copies of your list

Hand all required copies of your lists to an Army Desk Operator. The ADO will draw one at random and return the remainder of your lists.

After your lists are checked in for each of your 40k events, you will be handed a Registration Check-In Card. Take the card to Registration Check-in.

*If you are playing in any other tournament (not 40k), please arrive at the site of your event/s 15-20 minutes prior to start time, turning any required army lists into the Tournament Organizers when you arrive.

Weekend Badge Price Increase

Remember to buy your weekend pass if you haven't already! The price goes up at 12:01 am August 17 to $45. Weekend Badges (or day passes) are required to attend the NOVA Open, so grab yours now!

We now have full photo spreads on three of the four custom objectives by Mike Pumphrey! The The latest marker, "Rookie Driver" features a young SS recruit having driven his supply truck through the guardrail on a rickety & narrow bridge. The sign warns drivers to take it "slow," but we'd advise you to head with all speed to our website and Sign up today! Brendon Caulkins is a NOVA Open event coordinator for Warmachine/Hordes. Privateer Press (WM/H parent company) is well known for its charitable support of breast cancer causes. Two years ago, Brendon entered their online charity painting contest ("pink" army required), winning Best Privateer Press Army and Best Army overall. He believes the WM/H community will step up in support of The BCRF once more - and asked the Foundation to place his prize-winning Lightish Red Army up for raffle to prove it!
