Who among you wouldn't want to help raise money for a worthy cause by racking up some tickets for chances to win a professionally-painted army?
You do NOT need to be present to win. Armies will ship in their custom KRMulticase cases!
The NOVA Open Charitable Foundation will be administering raffles for three separate charity armies. Tickets will go on sale April 1, 2013; the drawings will take place at the NOVA Open Final Award Ceremony on September 1, 2013.
We are proud to be supporting these efforts and extend a special pat on the back to all involved!

- Our own Sarah Supik (aka inkybrushes) is active at INFINITY
- WM/H players learn about their events at the NOVA Open when Plarzoid (Brendon Caulkins) posts on PRIVATEER PRESS

The Feb 24 Build Session was a big success and a good start on meeting our 2013 terrain goals. Enjoying good food and good company, the crew was able to felt 32 boards, cover 64 sideboards, and cut and sand 30+ mdf terrain bases. Check out Minister of Terrain Bob Likins' full coverage on The Road to NOVA.
The Feb 22 Staff Game Night was a welcome chance to unwind, get some quality gaming in, and try out new game systems. Check out the NOVA Open Flickr gallery for highlights. One of many staff perks to thank our volunteers!

STAFFING NOVA IS GLORIOUS!
|
FOLLOW THIS LINK TO VOLUNTEER AS A STAFF MEMBER AT THE NOVA OPEN.
Here is a small example of some ways you can help:
SOCIAL EVENTS
NOVA Open staff come together in a variety of ways outside the confines of working toward improving and creating the convention.
TERRAIN BUILDS
Our mission includes being self-sufficient with boards and terrain in all of our tabletop wargaming events. Build days are a great learning experience, include a ton of food and camaraderie.
MAKING VIDEOS
The staff has a great time under the direction of Jon Pryts when it's time to make a movie. Jon and Ethan have plans in the chute for a few more videos in the coming months.
ONSITE STAFF SUPPORT
For those non-locals who are only going to be in a position to help out onsite at the NOVA Open, we have a job for you! We start on Wednesday, 8/28/13 with load-in at the Hyatt. The rest of Day 1 is spent unpacking, setting up desks, rooms, and gaming tables. We also need judges, as well as registration and store support.
Don't forget to join us on the first Saturday of every month for the NOVA Open Staff Meeting!
