Join us for a family friendly day of fishing!

Fishing offers families a way to spend time together outdoors and helps create memories that last a lifetime. 

This is a great opportunity to teach your child about the environment, fishing and safety skills. This is a fun way to introduce new skills and responsibilities to your child. 

We will have all the equipment needed and we have volunteers available to assist. All you need to do is show up and plan to have fun. 

Lunch and drinks are provided.  

Fishing License is REQUIRED!

Everyone fishing needs to PRE-purchase a fishing license. 

Please purchase your freshwater fishing license and print out a copy to bring with you.  The cost is $17 plus a $2 fee. (If you want to add saltwater or hunting- it is extra.)

Children under 16, Seniors over 65 and some physically disabled persons are exempt.  Please check the website for details.  You will not be allowed to fish if you do not have a license and are required to have one by law.

You do not have to fish to attend.  You may attend with your family, sit back, relax and watch the fun.  If you do not fish, you do not need a license.
 

 
What to wear? 

Please wear weather appropriate clothing, , bring an umbrella, bug spray, sunglasses and a hat or sunscreen if you are sensitive to sun or heat. Most importantly - be ready to have fun! 

Lunch and drinks provided but you may bring a small cooler or snacks if you wish.

This trip is our second event in our new Outdoor and Wilderness program.  We are exploring new ideas and ways to get our families outside and participating in family friendly events.  Join us and give us your input on what you would like to see.

Please put FISHING TRIP in the subject line.
Please list the name of the person with Spina Bifida and the name and ages and relationship to the person with SB in the message.

There is no charge and this is a family event, however, we need an accurate count for food service. 

YOU MUST PURCHASE YOUR OWN FISHING LICENSE PRIOR TO THE EVENT
and be prepared to show it to our volunteers.
